Are you a young person born between 2005 and 2011 and living in Tampere? Would you like to decide for yourself when, where, and how you earn your summer money?

You can make your dream of the perfect summer job come true with a summer entrepreneurship voucher worth €350. Use your strengths, work alone or with a friend, and earn money in a fun way that suits you. In addition, you will develop your working life skills and gain a lot of experience of working life during the summer.

The application period for the summer entrepreneurship voucher begins on April 14, 2026, and ends on May 15, 2026.

What is a summer entrepreneurship voucher?

The Summer Entrepreneurship Voucher 2026 is a voucher worth €350 for young people born between 2005 and 2011 who live in Tampere. The Summer Entrepreneurship Voucher is granted to make it easier for young people to try out entrepreneurship in the summer. As a summer entrepreneur, young people can practice entrepreneurship and working life skills through their own business activities. My Summer Job as an Entrepreneur campaign offers support for starting and developing a business.

Summer entrepreneurs are required to participate in one starting training session, which will be held on April 22, 2026, and May 4, 2026, as well as the Kick-off event on June 2, 2026.

Registration for the kick-off event will open soon.

You will receive valuable tips and learn about entrepreneurship in the start-up training. You do not need to have previous experience in entrepreneurship to apply for a summer entrepreneurship voucher.

Notice that these sessions will be held in Finnish.

The application period for 2026 begins on April 14, 2026, and ends on May 15, 2026.

Summer entrepreneurship vouchers will be distributed to all applicants who meet the application criteria in the order in which they apply. If all summer entrepreneurship vouchers have already been distributed, the applicant may be placed on a waiting list in case of cancellations. Confirmation of the voucher will be sent to the recipient by email.

If you manage to submit your application before the application period closes and you are on the waiting list, check your email regularly, as you will have 36 hours to submit your application if a cancellation opens up.

We recommend that you submit your application even if there are no vouchers available at the time of application. Vouchers may become available during the application period, so you always have the chance to receive a positive decision on your summer entrepreneurship voucher until the application period ends.

Criteria for applying for a voucher:

You are a resident of Tampere and were born between 2005 and 2011
The summer entrepreneurship voucher can be granted to a business that was established or will be established after the previous summer entrepreneurship voucher application period and is less than one year old.
The voucher must be applied for personally, even if it is a team business.
You participate in one summer entrepreneur starting training session
You participate in the Kick-off event
You fill out the application form and submit the requested additional information according to the given schedule

Decisions on receiving a summer entrepreneurship voucher will be made during the application period. You will be notified of the decision by email as soon as possible, but no later than two weeks after the kick-off event.

All recipients of summer entrepreneurship vouchers are required to attend the kick-off event.

At the kick-off event, you will receive a wide range of tips on summer entrepreneurship and get to know our various partners who offer different services and support to summer entrepreneurs. You will also hear about summer events and summer entrepreneurship services and get to meet other summer entrepreneurs. Welcome!

Summer job as an entrepreneur is a joint campaign in Tampere. The purpose is to offer young people a possibility to try entrepreneurship during the summertime. Participants in the campaign are City of Tampere Employment and Growth Services, Ohjaamo Tampere, Pirkanmaan Uusyrityskeskus ry - Ensimetri, 4H-association in Tampere, Tredu and International House Tampere. The patron of the campaign is Pirkanmaa region Enterprises.
