Events – Monitoimitalo 13

Hey, to 13-20-year-olds interested in reading and/or writing!

What kind of book-related activities would you like to see or organize yourself? Come share your ideas and meet others interested in the topic! At the event, you can also participate in creating a collaborative literary art piece. Snacks will be served!

The event will be held in the Kupla space (2nd floor) at the Youth Culture Centre Monitoimitalo 13 on Wednesday, April 15, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Note! Participating in this event does not commit you to anything in the future; we just want to hear your thoughts and ideas.

The event is organized by the City of Tampere Youth Services and the Sanataideyhdistys Yöstäjä.

The artists and band for spring Stage 13 events have now been chosen. You can still now apply to perform in upcoming Stage 13 gigs by filling in the Stage 13 application form. Note! Priority is given to artists and bands from Pirkanmaa.

Are you or your band ready for Stage? Come and play at the Youth Culture Center! You'll find all the event equipment and staff ready at the Stage of the Youth Culture Center in Monitoimitalo 13 (2nd floor). The performances are open to the public and are also streamed to YouTube.

Stage 13 events are alcohol- and drug-free, free of charge and open to all ages. Performers will gain a multi-camera recording of the event and photos of their performance, but there will not be paid salary for the performers. Stage 13 events are for young bands and artists under the age of 29. There are no restrictions on the genre of music, but preference is given to bands and artists from Pirkanmaa. Contact us and we will arrange a gig for you!

STAGE 13 event info for the public:

• Events are free of charge and for all ages.
• Events are alcohol- and drug-free. No liquids can be brought onto the Stage.
• There is a locker in the 2nd floor lobby where you can leave your outdoor clothing at your own risk.
• Events will be held in accordance with the City of Tampere Youth Services' safer space policy.

This year, the end of the school year will be celebrated at the Monari Summer Beach Party event at the Youth Culture Centre Monitoimitalo 13 on Saturday, May 30, 2026. It's going to be the hottest party of the spring, featuring live music, disco, karaoke, workshops and much more! Come and end the school year in style and celebrate the start of summer at the Beach Party!

The event is intended for young people over the age of 13. The event is free of charge and alcohol- and drug-free, and we follow the principles of safer space set by the City of Tampere Youth Services.

Idol Fest!

Idol Fest! is an event focused on Japanese pop culture idols and idol culture, with performers taking center stage! The event will feature J-pop rpd, opportunities to meet others interested in the same topic, fun side activities, and, above all, a lineup of amazing performances!

Idol Fest! is organized by the Enchantic Beats x Chaos youth group in collaboration with City of Tampere youth services. Idol Fest! has received funding from Masseista mahiksia.

Tampere Youth Theater presents: KILJUSET
Performances in April: April 21–28, 2026 (5 performances)

What happens when a theater performance about the adventures of the Kiljunen family has just begun and, right in the middle of it all, the real Kiljunen family rushes in to watch?

It is, of course, a great honor for the Kiljunen family to have a theater play made about them. However, the real Kiljunen family can’t sit still in the audience for long before the magic of the theater has already drawn them onto the stage to intervene and help the actors in various ways as they find themselves in trouble. The theater usher desperately tries to keep the situation under control, the set intact, the show running, and the real Kiljunen family in the audience. Chaos ensues.
